TravelCare®
Insurance Packages
These travel insurance packages are especially for seniors.
They provide the same all-inclusive coverage as Deluxe Package.
These packages must be purchase for the full duration of
your trip and you must correctly complete a medical
questionnaire. Your answer to the medical questionnaire
will determine the TravelCare® plan for which you qualify
and the premium you pay.
If you are less than 85 years of age then you can choose
not to complete the medical
questionnaire, but would only be eligible to purchase
TravelCare®-Bronze Package.
TravelCare® Packages offer the most complete coverage
for any traveller as outlined below
For the SINGLE TRIP option:
• 75 years of age or older travelling for 60 days
or less.
For the Multi-trip ANNUAL PACKAGE option:
• 60 years of age or older and under 80 years of age,
travelling for a maximum of 9, 16 or 30 consecutive days
per trip depending on the option purchased.
• 80 years of age or older, travelling for a maximum
of 9 or 16 consecutive days per trip depending on the option
purchased.
It is recommended purchasing the insurance at the time of
initial deposit or, if purchased for a cruise vacation,
before any cancellation penalties are in effect; and for
the full value of the non-refundable portion of prepaid
travel arrangements.

There are five TravelCare® Packages are:
• TravelCare®-HealthSelect®
• TravelCare®-Gold
• TravelCare®-Silver Plus
• TravelCare®-Silver
• TravelCare®-Bronze
If you are eligible for and have purchased TravelCare®-HealthSelect®
coverage no exclusion related to any pre-existing medical
condition will apply. This allows a customers who experience
a change in health after the purchase of their insurance
and before departure to maintain their travel coverage.
This customer is still, however, subject to all other general
exclusions outlined in the policy.
Exclusion 1 applies to TravelCare®-Gold and excludes
coverage for a medical condition, heart and/or lung condition
(whether or not the diagnosis has been determined) if that
medical condition or any heart and/or any lung condition
is not stable in the 90 days prior to departure.
Exclusion 2 applies to TravelCare® - Silver Plus and
TravelCare® Silver, and excludes coverage for a medical
condition, heart and/or lung condition (whether or not the
diagnosis has been determined) if that medical condition
or any heart and/or any lung condition is not stable
in the 180 days prior to departure.
Exclusion 3 applies to TravelCare® - Bronze and excludes
coverage for a medical condition, heart and/or lung condition
(whether or not the diagnosis has been determined) that
existed in the 180 days prior to departure, regardless of
whether that condition has been stable or has not been stable.
In addition, TravelCare® - Bronze applies a $200 US
deductible per claim.
Cancellation & Interruption Insurance within TravelCare®
Packages exclude coverage for a medical condition, heart
and/or lung condition (whether or not the diagnosis has
been determined) if that medical condition or any heart
and/or lung condition of your customer or your customer's
spouse is not stable in the 90 days before the insurance
application date. There are additional pre-existing medical
conditions if the prepaid travel arrangements exceed $12,000.
